Repertory names full ‘Cinderella’ cast, except the girl with the glass slipper

Repertory Philippines unveils lineup for 2026 run, keeps Cinderella casting under wraps.

Prince Charming is still seeking the girl to fit the glass slipper as Repertory Philippines (REP) unveils the fabulous lineup for its highly anticipated staging of “Cinderella: The Tale of the Glass Slipper,” running from Aug. 22 to Dec. 13, 2026.

While the actress playing Cinderella is still under wraps, the newly announced cast list guarantees a robust rotation of seasoned and fresh theater talents. Leading the charge as the Prince are Khalil Tambio and Radson Flores, with Lance Soliman serving as the cover. “Cinderella” would be Flores’s second REP production since his theater debut in “Nerdy Prudes Must Die” last July.

The beloved Fairy God Mother will be brought to life by co-director Cara Barredo and Mayen Cadd. Meanwhile, the wicked yet undeniably entertaining Step Mother will be played by Pinky Marquez and Ring Antonio, with Mayen Cadd also pulling double duty as her cover.

Adding comedic flair to the cruel but clumsy Step Sisters are Arielle Magno and Barbara Jance as Step Sister 1, alongside Basti Katigbak and Paul Atienza as Step Sister 2. Jay Barrameda joins as the cover for both Step Sisters.

The roster is rounded out by Hans Eckstein, Steven Hotchkiss, and Hades Kitane sharing the role of Frederick. Stephen Viñas and Jay Pangilinan will take on Putterman, with Hotchkiss acting as cover. Finally, Deo Dela Cruz and Monica Tulio will keep the magic seamless as the official swings.

Billed as a cornerstone of the prestigious theater company’s 89th Season, the production will be mounted at the brand-new REP Eastwood Theater located on the 4th Floor of Eastwood Citywalk 2.

Penned with book, music, and lyrics by Janet Yates Vogt and Mark Friedman, this Repertory Theater for Young Audiences (RTYA) production promises a fresh, enchanting spin on the timeless fairy tale. RTYA founder and artistic director Joy Virata teams up with Cara Barredo to direct the production, bringing decades of theatrical expertise to the stage.

For over 30 years, RTYA has been a driving force in cultivating theater appreciation among Filipino youth, introducing children to the stage through enjoyable and educational classic offerings like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Aladdin Jr.” Now, they are bringing the magic of “Cinderella” to life, staying true to REP’s nearly six-decade mission of nurturing a passion for the performing arts.
