The former child star opens up about an uncertain period on the noontime show, credits TVJ for standing by her.

Former child star and longtime Eat Bulaga host Ryzza Mae Dizon recently opened up about one of the most challenging chapters of her career: when she feared losing her hosting slot during the show’s transition period.

She also recalled how main hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon (TVJ) supported her and other hosts amid the program’s legal dispute and move from GMA 7 to TV5.

In an interview on Toni Gonzaga’s YouTube channel, Ryzza expressed gratitude for TVJ’s reassurance during a time of uncertainty.

According to Ryzza, she was allegedly among those most at risk of being removed from the program and was told another young talent was being prepared for her role.

She recalled her appearances being reduced to once a week, with strict limits on where she could appear on-air.

She said it was painful to learn a possible replacement was already being trained.

Ryzza did not name who was being considered to replace her, and stressed she holds no ill feelings toward TVJ, expressing gratitude for their support during that period.

She rose to fame after winning “Little Miss Philippines” in 2012 and became one of “Eat Bulaga’s” most popular young hosts.
