Actress reveals unexpected ending to childhood experience in viral interview.
Ryzza Mae Dizon revealed that she eventually bought the house of a neighbor who once looked down on her as a child.
During her guest appearance on “Toni Talks,” Ryzza recalled accidentally damaging a vase while playing with a neighbor’s grandchild before she became famous. She said the homeowner scolded her and told her, “Mas mahal pa ’yan sa buhay mo.”
The remark left a lasting impression on the young Ryzza, who was only around five or six years old at the time. According to the former child star, the experience motivated her to work hard so she would never be spoken to that way again.
When Toni Gonzaga pointed out how hurtful words can stay with children for years, Ryzza revealed the story’s unexpected ending.
“Hindi ko po kinalimutan ’yun. May plot twist ’yun,” she said before sharing that after winning and finding success in showbiz, she eventually purchased the same property.
“Nu’ng nanalo po ako, nabili ko po ’yung bahay nila.”
Ryzza first rose to fame after winning Eat Bulaga!‘s Little Miss Philippines, a victory that launched her career in television and film. She later became one of the country’s most recognizable child stars, appearing in several box-office hits and television projects between 2012 and 2017.
