From TikTok fame to queer horror: Sassa Gurl champions LGBTQIA+ rights.
Comedian and social media personality Sassa Gurl doesn’t hold back when it comes to speaking out against injustice.
“I really hate [homophobia] kasi sobrang lala no’n for the community, and ayaw ko sa mga nakshie ko ang nakaka-experience nito,” she declared, in response to a question on what her “personal multo’ is, or ghosts that haunt her life.
This is in reference to her upcoming self-produced, queer horror film “Multwoh.” Meanwhile, “nakshie” is a slang term she uses for her close friends, fans, or people she cares about.
“Kaya nga namin ginagawa ‘to para [sa] next generation, hindi na mangyari, pero I think maganda naman ang magiging eksena for the next years kasi marami tayong representation,” the social media star-turned-actress said in an interview with radar Entertainment.

On Jan. 24, the film’s director, Rodina Singh teased a casting call for the film in an X (formerly Twitter) post, alongside the finished script.

The director herself offered ‘very little word from production,’ stating, “Sana mahanap na natin ang dapat nating mahanap.”
After teasing snippets of the horror-comedy in July 2025, the film clinched onto the ledge of the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival roster, earning a ₱5-million grant, bringing the production alive from the dead.
“Meron kaming mga binabago. Pinapaganda na namin kasi may budget na,” Sassa promised.
Moreover, Sassa poked fun at her use of CapCut, an easy-to-use video editing software, in editing the said film: “Nakita niyo ‘yon? Naka-premium na ‘ko, loko!”
“Multwoh (Patay Na Patay Sa’yo),” an independent film produced and starred by Sassa Gurl, alongside Martin del Rosario, Pipay, Gaia Polyhymnia is an official entry to the 2026 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival.
