The P-pop kings will take the stage on July 30.

SB19’s Pablo said their upcoming historic performance at Lollapalooza is a long-awaited milestone.

“Nanggigigil na kami,” a chuckling Pablo told select media, including radar, during a media conference on Monday, March 23. “Meron po kaming concert (sa SMDC Festival Grounds) sa April 18, pero sobrang ina-anticipate din namin ang (Lollapalooza) performance na ito.”

Pablo echoed Josh’s words, who said the March 27 release of their sophomore album, “Wakas at Simula,” isn’t just a comeback but a preparation for SB19’s global domination.

“Sabi nga ni Josh, ever since we started our journey as artists, parang ito talaga ‘yong pinaghahandaan namin… ang makapag-perform sa Lollapalooza and show them how talented Filipinos are,” he said.

While details remain under wraps, Pablo hinted at a performance that’s meant to be electrifying and impactful: “Di ko ma-imagine, di ko ma-explain kung ano ‘yong gagawin namin doon, pero for sure it’s something that all Filipinos will be proud of…. siyempre, may mga pakulo kami [sa] arrangements, production… just to show them kung ano talaga ang kaya naming gawin.”

SB19 will take the Lollapalooza stage on July 30 with headliners Lorde and DJ John Summit. Other acts include rising indie singer sombr, electric duo Empire of the Sun, and boy band 5 Seconds of Summer. Other talents in the four-day festival, held until August 2, include Charli XCX, Olivia Dean, BLACKPINK Jennie, The Smashing Pumpkins, aespa, The Chainsmokers, Beabadoobee, and “Stranger Things” star Finn Wolfhard.

They’ve been on a roll internationally, having performed at Japan’s D.U.N.K. Showcase on March 15 and still fueling the “VISA” global dance challenge on TikTok.
