The actor’s candid video reframes bullying, identity, and self-worth, with humor and hard-earned clarity.

Tommy Alejandrino is keeping it painfully honest, and surprisingly funny, about what it means to grow up gay in a world that still throws shade.

In a candid video posted on his social media, the actor doesn’t sugarcoat it: “You’re gonna get bullied. You’re gonna be the butt of the joke… because you’re gay.”

But instead of spiraling, he flips the narrative. “It’s fine… honestly, it’s funny. I can laugh along with it,” he says. “But as a gay guy myself, I know what it’s like to still want to hold a guy’s hand and be loved.”

For Tommy, the comments, whether backhanded, dismissive, or outright homophobic, shouldn’t define you but fuel you. “Keep being gay then and let it make you gayer… turn it into talent. Turn it into beauty. Just look hotter every time they throw those jabs at you.”

And maybe the most disarming part? He doesn’t preach hate back. “Love your straight people. Straight people need love, too.”

At its core, his message is simple but hard-earned: people may joke, misunderstand, or even try to “fix” you, but staying true to yourself is always the better punchline.

“I love you, gay boy,” he ends.

And with that, what could’ve been bitterness turns into something sharper: confidence, clarity, and a little bit of glow-up energy.
