The landmark deal opens the door for Vice to appear across TV5, ABS-CBN, GMA.

Vice Ganda has officially joined forces with MediaQuest Holdings, expanding his partnership beyond TV5, which is only one of the media conglomerate’s many businesses.

The entertainment icon signed an agreement with MediaQuest on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at The Lighthouse at the Meralco Center in Pasig City, in a ceremony attended by MediaQuest president and CEO Victorico P. Vargas and MVP Group chairman Manny V. Pangilinan.

Vice’s new partnership, described as the “VG X MQ” venture, brings him into the wider MediaQuest ecosystem, which includes TV5, Cignal, The Philippine Star, BusinessWorld, Radyo5 and other media and digital platforms.

This means the deal goes beyond a television network relationship, opening up opportunities for projects across the company’s various media properties.

“Queen of All Networks” was among the titles used to describe Vice following the signing, which the company said aims to combine the comedian and host’s cultural influence with the reach of the MVP Group and MediaQuest.

Also present at the ceremony was Slingshot Studios head for partnerships, people and business development Ranvel Rufino.

While details of the projects covered by the partnership were not immediately disclosed, MediaQuest described the venture as one that could lead to new entertainment offerings for Filipino audiences in the country and abroad.

The deal also puts Vice in a unique position in Philippine entertainment, given his long history of working with major networks.

MediaQuest said the partnership would leverage the company’s scale and Vice’s entertainment legacy to create projects with a potential global reach.

For Vice, the agreement marks another major chapter in a career that has made him one of the country’s most recognizable entertainment personalities.
