Step inside the “Backrooms” as the viral horror maze runs in Manila from May 23 to June 7 at Shangri-La Plaza, ahead of A24 film premiere.

The eerie world of the internet’s most infamous liminal space is stepping into real life for Filipino fans with “Backrooms Breakout,” a limited-time immersive escape room running from May 23 to June 7 at Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City.

Timed ahead of the June 3 exclusive Philippine cinema premiere of A24’sBackrooms,” CreaZion Studios brings the viral horror phenomenon off-screen and into a fully immersive experience.

Designed to draw thrill-seekers into a maze of endless yellow corridors that made the lore a global obsession, the attraction sets the tone for the upcoming feature film directed by original creator Kane Parsons, starring Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor and Cannes Best Actress winner Renate Reinsve.

Access requires a pre-purchased “Backrooms” movie ticket from Shangri-La Red Carpet Cinemas, which doubles as an entry pass for one player.

Open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM, guests can learn more and reserve slots at www.breakout.com.ph.

For those curious enough to step inside, the question lingers: can you make it out of the Backrooms?

Originating from internet lore, “The Backrooms” has evolved into a sub-genre of psychological thriller focused on liminal spaces—empty, uncanny environments where characters confront isolation, warped reality, and the dread of being trapped in an endless maze.
