The eerie world of the internet’s most infamous liminal space is stepping into real life for Filipino fans with “Backrooms Breakout,” a limited-time immersive escape room running from May 23 to June 7 at Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City.

Timed ahead of the June 3 exclusive Philippine cinema premiere of A24’s “Backrooms,” CreaZion Studios brings the viral horror phenomenon off-screen and into a fully immersive experience.

Designed to draw thrill-seekers into a maze of endless yellow corridors that made the lore a global obsession, the attraction sets the tone for the upcoming feature film directed by original creator Kane Parsons, starring Academy Award nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor and Cannes Best Actress winner Renate Reinsve.

Access requires a pre-purchased “Backrooms” movie ticket from Shangri-La Red Carpet Cinemas, which doubles as an entry pass for one player.
