Behind these masterpieces is the late director Wenn V. Deramas, who is known to popularize comedy films. In a Reddit post from a user, under the handle u/uhhidk1225, they point out that some scenes from his films become trending which led to their curiosity on late director Wenn’s filmography.

The timeless appeal

Along with other fans, they add that his directing style used slapstick humor to gain attention from viewers. Despite that, Filipinos still appreciate the comedy as it allows them to feel the good vibes.

“Direk Wenn’s comedy films were not perfect but most of them were iconic and really put a smile on my face even I was a kid.
