P-Pop group 6ENSE turns love song into election call, spotlighting voter power ahead of 2028 polls.
As the country remains years away from the 2028 national elections, rising P-Pop boy group 6ENSE has released a comeback single that doubles as a timely reminder about the power of the Filipino vote.
The six-member group’s latest track, “Piliin Mo Ako,” initially comes across as a catchy love song, but its accompanying music video reveals a different message—one centered on elections, political promises, and voter responsibility.
Written by group leader Wiji, the song plays on the phrase “piliin mo ako,” transforming it from a romantic plea into the voice of ordinary Filipinos asking to finally be chosen through good governance.
In the music video, the members portray politicians complete with campaign smiles, handshakes, and familiar public personas, drawing attention to election-season theatrics without mentioning any specific candidate or political party.
At the heart of the release is the line, “Sa susunod na pipili ka, dapat ikaw ang panalo,” encouraging voters to remember that elections should ultimately benefit the people casting their ballots.
Unlike traditional election jingles tied to political campaigns, “Piliin Mo Ako” arrives nearly two years before the official campaign period, allowing its message to stand independently as a call for voter awareness rather than political endorsement.
The release follows the group’s previous single, “Muni-Muni,” which also tackled social issues beneath an upbeat, retro-inspired sound. Together, the songs reflect 6ENSE’s growing reputation for combining mainstream P-Pop with socially relevant themes.
The group also highlighted its creative independence behind the project. Beyond performing the song, the members conceptualized the music video, while Wiji wrote the track, giving 6ENSE significant creative control over both the music and its message.
Composed of Wiji, Axis, L.A, Ruko, Caizer, and Hunter, 6ENSE is an independently managed P-Pop act under N.EXT Entertainment, with music distributed by Sony Music Philippines. The group has gained attention for producing much of its own material while promoting an inclusive artistic identity.
“Piliin Mo Ako” is now available on major music streaming platforms, while its official music video has been released on YouTube.
