BINI pops up on flowerovlove’s Coachella set after Day 1 blowout

The P-pop queens (except Maloi) joined the British singer for her viral hit “breaking news.”

Fresh off its explosive, historic Coachella debut, BINI made a surprise guesting on British pop singer flowerovlove’s set on April 12 (early April 13 Philippine time).

Just before performing her final song, the viral “breaking news,” flowerovlove teased the audience, “I’m missing six, seven of my friends.” She then peeked backstage and playfully asked, “Who’s that? Is it BINI?”

Moments later, Colet, Jhoanna, Mikha, Gwen, Stacey, Aiah, and Sheena emerged one by one as she sang. Maloi was absent, with management earlier saying she’d miss BINI’s scheduled activities during the day “as she is not feeling well.”

P-pop power at Coachella

During the second verse, floweroflove handed the mic to Gwen, who cheekily changed the lyrics from “Your hair is so hot” to “We’re BINI, so hot.”

“Love you guys, thanks for coming,” flowerovlove told the Nation’s Girl Group, blowing kisses as the crowd cheered on.

Hours after the performance, BINI shared photos with floweroflove on and off the stage. The singer also gave them a shoutout on Instagram Story, saying, “THANK U TO MY GIRLS FOR COMING OUT!!!!!”

BINI has been riding a wave of global buzz since taking the Coachella stage—the first Filipino act that did so—on April 10 (April 11 Philippine time). Minutes after their performance, they became the top trending topic on X—even as social media was flooded with screenshots, fancams, and reactions, especially from the Philippine entertainment industry.

The P-pop queens are set to return to Coachella on April 17 (April 18 Philippine time).

flowerovlove has shown a soft spot for the Philippines. She visited the country in February 2025 for a series of appearances, including a Valentine’s show, a stint on Wish 107.5 Bus, a guesting on ABS-CBN’s “It’s Showtime,” and the filming of an alternate music video for “breaking news” set against a rainy Manila night.
