Fans danced to the hits performed by The Best of Bee Gees and Manila Symphony Orchestra.
Titos, titas, lolos, lolas—and even old souls—hit the dance floor to Bee Gees classics at a tribute concert on Saturday, April 11, at Newport World Resorts in Pasay.
Headlining the two-hour show was The Best of the Bee Gees, a tribute band endorsed by the original members’ family. They’re joined by the Manila Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of American conductor George Ellis.

The setlist first revisited Bee Gees’ early catalog, with classics like “I’ve Gotta Get a Message to You,” “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” “Run to Me,” “I Started a Joke,” “To Love Somebody,” and “Massachusetts.”
Special guests added a personal touch: Maurice Gibb’s son Nick Endacott-Gibb and the Gibb brothers’ niece Debora McLane. Nick performed “Closer Than Close,” while Debora did “First of May” and Celine Dion’s “Immortality”—before the cousins teamed up for “Too Much Heaven. Global chanteuse Roslyn Loxton also joined the stage.
From ballads to boogie
But it was the Bee Gees disco era that truly electrified the crowd. Hits like “Jive Talkin,’” “Boogie Shoes,” “More Than a Woman,” “Night Fever,” and “Disco Inferno” had audiences standing and vibing, while “You Should Be Dancing” and “Stayin’ Alive” turned the venue into a full-on dance floor.
The show also spotlighted the Gibbs’ songwriting legacy for other icons, including Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ “Islands in the Stream,” Barbra Streisand’s “Woman in Love,” Diana Ross’ “Chain Reaction,” and Frankie Valli’s “Grease.”
The show also paid tribute to the youngest Gibb brother, Andy Gibb, a rising solo star whose life was cut short in 1988 at age 30.
The April 11 run featured two shows—following an earlier performance on April 10.
