The 10th Philippine International Motor Show in June highlights the growing shift to electrified mobility.
Electric vehicles, hybrids, and other alternative-energy models are set to make up nearly half of the lineup at this year’s Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS), signaling a stronger push toward electrified mobility in the local auto industry.
The growing EV presence comes as the industry responds to volatile oil prices and increasing pressure to reduce fuel dependence, with automakers continuing to expand cleaner mobility offerings while introducing more accessible electrified options across different price segments.
The pivot is happening now
The 10th edition of PIMS, spearheaded by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI), will run from June 4 to 7, 2026, at the World Trade Center Manila in Pasay City and is expected to showcase more than 150 vehicle models, with around 75 electrified units.
Participating brands include Tesla, Inc., Toyota Motor Corporation, VinFast, Mitsubishi Motors, Honda Motor Co., Ltd., Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Kia Corporation, Subaru Corporation, Suzuki Motor Corporation, MG Motor, Geely Auto, and a lineup of Chinese manufacturers expanding aggressively in the local market.
PIMS will also highlight energy efficiency technologies and alternative mobility solutions, signaling an industry-wide push toward cleaner, more sustainable transport.
The future is half-electric. PIMS 2026 reveals that nearly 50% of its vehicle lineup will be EVs or hybrids.

What to watch for at PIMS 2026
Focus on the mild hybrids. If you aren't ready for a full EV, look for the mild hybrid (MHEV) offerings from Suzuki and Toyota. These provide better fuel efficiency without the need for a charging plug—ideal for those living in condos without dedicated charging ports.
Ask about the battery warranty. An EV's value is in its battery. Ask sales reps about the end-of-life battery policy and if the warranty covers capacity degradation below 70%.
Try to go to the show early, preferably on the morning of June 4 (Thursday). It’s a weekday, meaning smaller crowds and more time to actually sit inside the 75 electrified models and test the infotainment systems.
