As more celebrities face online pressure to speak about ongoing political issues in the country, AC Bonifacio became one of the latest artists to be called out by netizens demanding stronger statements from public figures.
A user on X wrote, “Hoy, AC! We don’t need your retweets! What we need is for you to use your platform to speak up,” criticizing the performer for allegedly doing the bare minimum online.
AC later responded directly, saying, “Hoy ka din. I’ve been listening, reading, and trying to understand the situation better before adding my voice. We are on the same side here, we are fighting for the same thing. Hindi ako ang kaaway mo.”
She also emphasized that accountability should remain directed toward leaders “who continue to fail Filipinos.”

A few hours after AC’s rebuttal went viral, the original user deleted their tweet.
