Actress Sue Ramirez shares her thoughts on motherhood, modern womanhood, and why she believes Dominic Roque would make a great father.

Sue Ramirez is embracing a new chapter in both her personal and professional life, one that includes reflections on love, motherhood, and the evolving choices women make today.

As she prepares for the release of her upcoming film “Project Baby,” the actress candidly shared that she remains open to having children someday and believes her boyfriend, Dominic Roque, would make an exceptional father.

“Why not! Sana, kung ibibigay. I think Dominic would be a very, very good father,” Sue said when asked about the possibility of starting a family in the future.

The actress explained that for her, choosing a partner also means choosing someone she can trust to become a good parent, regardless of what the future may hold for their relationship.

“Ang pipiliin mong tao, kahit maghiwalay kayo, may certainty ka na it is a person you want to do it with. Yung magiging OK na ama ‘to sa anak ko kahit hindi kami mag work out,” she said.

Sue added that Dominic’s deep love for his family has only strengthened her admiration for him. She pointed to how caring he is toward his nieces and nephews, as well as the affection he shows even toward her dogs.

“Nakikita ko how he is with his family. Mahal na mahal niya mga pamangkin n’ya. Even with my dogs. ang laki ng puso niya at napakabuti niya.”

Describing herself as fortunate to have found someone like Dominic, Sue spoke warmly about the qualities she treasures most in him.

“Grabe kung kilala niyo lang talaga sino si Dom, napakabuti, napakabait, napaka family-oriented, god-fearing, I think sobrang perfect,” she shared.

“Lagi ko sinasabi sa posts ko, ang swerte ko talaga. ‘Yon talaga nafefeel ko. Minsan pag tinitingnan ko siya, napapa ‘thank you, Lord’ ako. Hindi ko inexpect at almost 30 makakahanap pa ako ng sobrang bait.”

Beyond her personal life, Sue is also using her latest film, “Project Baby,” to explore conversations surrounding modern womanhood, motherhood, and the expectations often placed on women when it comes to relationships and family.

“It’s not just a rom-com. You’re not going to watch this just to have fun. It also aims to broaden our perspective on the choices that women can make,” she said during the film’s press conference.

The actress shared that the story resonated deeply with her because it reflects the realities many women face today, especially those reconsidering traditional timelines and redefining what fulfillment can look like.

“Not everyone is open to the choices modern women are making. A lot of people actually comment online like, ‘This is something I want to do.’ Or, ‘Wow, I’m also in my 30s. This is the kind of life I want. Maybe I don’t need a partner,” she said.

Turning 30 next year, Sue admitted that becoming a mother has long been one of her dreams, though her understanding of what it entails has grown more grounded over time.

“Even when I was young, I already wanted to have a baby. But the reality is you really have to prepare for it. It’s not just a decision,” she shared.

Directed by Eric Quizon, “Project Baby” is set to hit cinemas on June 10. The film also stars Rico Blanco, Matt Lozano, Arra San Agustin, Yasser Marta, Alex Calleja, Alice Dixson, and more.
