“Primetime” may see a tone shift as BNC considers entertainment-focused replacement.:

A major hosting shakeup may be underway at Bilyonaryo News Channel.

Industry sources tell OVERHEARD that Raymond Gutierrez is being lined up to replace Matteo Guidicelli as host of BNC’s flagship interview program, ‘Primetime,’ following Matteo’s reported departure from the network.

The move comes amid lingering questions about Matteo’s sudden exit. Sources previously claimed tensions arose after the actor-host appeared on a TV5 News and Public Affairs program without first securing clearance from BNC management. Insiders alleged the appearance caught executives off guard, particularly because it involved a competing news and public affairs platform.

Neither Matteo nor BNC has publicly commented on the matter.

The reported departure is notable because ‘Primetime’ played a key role in Matteo’s evolution from actor to interviewer. During his stint, he landed headline-making conversations with Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo, Piolo Pascual, Erwan Heussaff, and Julia Barretto.

His willingness to ask uncomfortable questions often generated viral moments and helped establish his credibility beyond showbiz.

Now enters Raymond.

An experienced and award-winning host, Raymond is no stranger to television. However, his expertise has traditionally been rooted in entertainment, celebrity, and lifestyle programming rather than hard news and public affairs.

His reported appointment has fueled speculation that BNC may be preparing a fresh direction for the program.

Whether ‘Primetime’ retains the sharper interview style that defined Matteo’s run or adopts a different tone under Raymond remains to be seen.

For now, the network appears ready to move forward while Matteo continues building his career elsewhere.
