Attention, drag queens! The upcoming restaging of the iconic Filipino queer superhero musical “Zsazsa Zaturnnah Ze Musikal” is looking for its Amazonistas.
Production company Wishbone Collective announced open auditions tomorrow, June 8, from 3 PM to 8 PM, at the SIKAT Performance & Event Venue along Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City.
Auditonees may come without makeup—and can choose to lip-sync or sing live.
The production is casting Amazonistas— the fierce, man-hating alien race from Planet XXX—for roles such as Nora A., Vilma S., Sharon C., or Dina B. Candidates must be:
- Hyper-feminine na mga bilat
- Early to late 30s
- Sexy Amazonista warriors
- Pinagsamang supermodels, pop stars, at aliens
- Willing to do their own stunts
- Knows contemporary musical theater pop vocals
Auditions are also open for Queen Femina Suarestellar Baroux, described as:
- Hyper-feminine na mga bilat
- Mid-30s to early 40s
- Mashoray na alien queen from Planet XXX
- Parang pinagsamang beauty queen, drag queen, at high school principal
- Dapat kayang mag-ispluk ng merong Judi Dench British akzent
- Knows contemporary musical theater pop belt
Callbacks are scheduled on June 9, from 5 PM to 9 PM.

Based on Carlo Vergara’s beloved graphic novel, the musical follows Ada, a shy gay beautician whose life changes after swallowing a mysterious stone that transforms him into the superheroine Zsazsa Zaturnnah.
The 20th anniversary staging features a stage adaptation by Chris Martinez, with music, lyrics, and musical direction by Vincent A. De Jesus.
