Class 1 motorists now pay ₱292 from Nichols to Sto. Tomas via SLEX, while STAR Tollway’s end-to-end toll is now ₱121.
Motorists using the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and STAR Tollway are now paying higher toll fees after the second tranche of the approved periodic toll rate adjustment for 2026 took effect on July 1.
Under the updated rates, Class 1 motorists now pay ₱292 to travel the Nichols-to-Sto. Tomas route via SLEX. Meanwhile, motorists using only the Alabang-to-Sto. Tomas section pay an additional ₱14 for Class 1 vehicles, ₱27 for Class 2, and ₱41 for Class 3.
On the STAR Tollway, end-to-end tolls from Sto. Tomas to Batangas City are now ₱121 for Class 1 vehicles, ₱242 for Class 2, and ₱363 for Class 3.
The adjustment forms part of the periodic toll rate increase for SMC SLEX Inc., Manila Toll Expressway Systems Inc. (MATES), and Star Infrastructure Development Corp. It is the second tranche of the approved 2026 adjustment, following the first increase that took effect on Jan. 1.
The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) said the adjustment covers all vehicle classes and is intended to help fund the continued operations, maintenance, and improvement of the two expressways, as well as support safer and more convenient travel for motorists.
The latest increase comes even as some motorists continue to raise concerns over unfinished widening works along parts of SLEX, including uneven pavement, missing lane markings, and road debris that some drivers say has damaged their vehicles.
