Pageant showdown: Miss Universe, Miss International set for Nov. 25

PH bets Bea Millan-Windorski, Katrina Johnson brace for historic same-day finals.

Not one but two of the world’s most prestigious beauty pageants will take center stage on the same day, as the 75th Miss Universe and the 64th Miss International hold their coronation nights on November 25, 2026.

The historic scheduling was confirmed after the Miss Universe Organization announced on social media that its coronation night will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where reigning queen Fatima Bosch of Mexico will crown her successor.

Prior to this, the Miss International Organization had already revealed that its coronation night would also take place on November 25 at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Tokyo, Japan. Reigning Miss International Catalina Duque of Colombia is set to pass on the crown.

The simultaneous staging of the two pageants is expected to make November 25 one of the biggest days on the international pageant calendar, especially for Filipino fans who have long celebrated the country’s strong performances in both competitions.

The Philippines remains one of the most successful countries in Miss International history, with six winners: Gemma Cruz (1964), Aurora Pijuan (1970), Melanie Marquez (1979), Precious Lara Quigaman (2005), Bea Rose Santiago (2013), and Kylie Verzosa (2016). This year, Katrina Johnson hopes to deliver the country’s seventh Miss International crown.

The country has also seen remarkable success at Miss Universe, producing four titleholders: Gloria Diaz (1969), Margarita Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018). Representing the Philippines this year, Bea Millan Windorski will aim to secure the nation’s fifth Miss Universe title.

With both pageants unfolding on the same day, Filipino pageant fans are in for an action-packed November 25. Miss Universe is expected to air at around 8 AM Manila time, followed by Miss International at approximately 1 PM, giving viewers a full day of pageant action.
