Filipino pride takes center stage as global icons secure one of entertainment’s highest honors.

Hollywood is set to celebrate two global stars with proud Filipino heritage as Nicole Scherzinger and Jo Koy have been selected to receive stars on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame as members of the Class of 2027.

The recognition marks another milestone for Filipino representation on the world stage, with both artists earning one of entertainment’s highest honors for their remarkable contributions to their respective fields.

Born to a Filipino father, Scherzinger has never shied away from embracing her Filipino roots throughout her career. She rose to international fame as the powerhouse lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls before establishing herself as a successful solo artist, television personality, and acclaimed stage performer. Her recent critically praised performance in “Sunset Boulevard” further sealed her reputation as one of today’s most versatile entertainers.

Jo Koy, meanwhile, has become one of the world’s most successful stand-up comedians while proudly putting Filipino culture in the global spotlight. Through his sold-out tours and hit comedy specials, he has shared stories about his Filipino upbringing, family traditions, and his beloved mother, introducing millions of people around the world to the warmth, humor, and values of Filipino families.

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the 32 honorees for the Class of 2027, recognizing individuals whose outstanding achievements have left a lasting impact on the entertainment industry. Selection committee chair Peter Roth lauded the recipients for their exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication to their craft.

Joining Scherzinger and Jo Koy in the prestigious class are Pedro Pascal, Lisa Kudrow, Idris Elba, Kate Hudson, Adam Scott, Karol G, Sia, Linkin Park, Lil Wayne, and Jimmy Johnson.

Dates for their star unveiling ceremonies will be announced separately. Each honoree has up to two years to schedule their official Hollywood Walk of Fame celebration, a moment that is expected to be another proud occasion for Filipinos around the world.
