Content creator Francis Calma is reimagining everyday items as high-fashion “recycled outfits,” showing how creativity can turn ordinary materials into wearable art.
Calma has drawn admiration online for transforming familiar items into editorial-worthy looks, with many viewers praising not only the finished garments but also the imagination behind them.
Across his social media platforms, Calma has showcased outfits made from cardboard boxes, banig, insulation foam, paper plates, plastic cups, and other unconventional materials. Many of the looks are paired with matching handbags and accessories that complete each ensemble. He began sharing the pieces earlier this year, steadily building an audience for his work.
The 25-year-old creator first gained fame on TikTok through his humorous skits, lip-sync videos, and content inspired by Filipino trends, having amassed around seven million followers across platforms.
Fashion has also long been part of his content. Before sharing his pieces, Calma occasionally took on ukay-ukay challenges where he transformed randomly selected thrifted clothing into wearable outfits.
Many of Calma’s designs combine high-fashion references with Filipino influences. He edits his finished pieces into mock magazine covers and creates “Get Dressed With Me” videos, presenting each outfit as if it were made for luxury fashion events.
His creations reflect experimental fashion through their use of unconventional materials, challenging how people view objects that are usually discarded or overlooked. Beyond their visual appeal, the designs encourage viewers to see familiar materials in new ways.
