P-pop kings make history as the first Filipino act, surprising fans with Chicago Bulls mascot cameo and viral stage moments.
Mahalima making history.
SB19 has officially made history as the first Filipino act to perform at the world-renowned Lollapalooza music festival, taking over the stage at Grant Park, Chicago and bringing P-pop to one of the biggest global music events.
The five-member group—Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin—opened their set with “DAM” before delivering crowd favorites “GENTO” and “DUNGKA,” followed by “Emoji,” “MAPA,” “Wakas,” “Visa,” “CrimZone,” performing their newly released single “LAWLESS,” and paying tribute to the late Francis M. with their rendition of “Mga Kababayan Ko.”
Adding to the excitement, the Chicago Bulls mascot surprised fans by joining SB19 onstage and dancing to the viral “DUNGKA” choreography, drawing cheers from the crowd.
The historic performance resonated far beyond Chicago. On Weverse, SB19’s livestream attracted more than 500,000 concurrent viewers and generated over 13.8 million reactions, reflecting the group’s growing international reach. Back home, more than a thousand fans also gathered at watch parties across the Philippines, including the Department of Tourism-hosted event at Rizal Park, to witness the milestone together.

The moment quickly became a source of national pride online, with one viral post reading: “Y’all are not ready for the artist with a National ID, GCash account, SSS, Pag-IBIG, and PhilHealth performing at Lollapalooza.”
Nearly eight years after debuting with “Tilaluha” in 2018, following around three years of training beginning in 2016, SB19 has reached another career-defining milestone, further cementing its place as one of the pioneering acts bringing Filipino music to the global stage.
