fitterkarma, long a fan favorite, finally drops debut album and books Met

To celebrate this release, the band will take the stage for “The Album Concert” on September 19, 2026, held at the historic Metropolitan Theater in Manila.

From their breakout hits “Pag-ibig ay Kanibalismo II” and “Kalapastangan,” both of which dominated the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, fitterkarma firmly established itself as one of the most compelling modern acts in indie OPM today.

Their slow yet humble Benildean beginnings soon grew and carved out a distinct space in the local music scene with their fusion of indie, alternative, and art rock, thrusting them into the mainstream with around 8.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

Now with their first major headline concert, fitterkarma will perform alongside the renowned Manila String Machine, bringing a lush orchestral arrangement to their art-rock sound.

However, things didn’t start as large as they are now. “We experienced playing empty venues,” the band shared in an earlier interview with radar Entertainment. Since their start in 2023, for nearly two years, they performed in spaces where only a handful of people showed up, but those nights became their training ground.

Currently composed of Joao de Leon on vocals and guitars, Sophia Miranda on bass, Sanders Bayas on drums, and Mikee Mendoza on guitars, the group is widely celebrated for exploring themes of obsessive love and drawing heavy thematic inspiration from Philippine folklore, horror, and gore.

A Gabi Na Naman production, fans can secure their tickets on Ticketmelon via the band’s official link, featuring four tiers: Orchestra for ₱2,999 (includes soundcheck, meet-and-greet, and poster), Orchestra Side or Loge for ₱2,199 (includes soundcheck and poster), Orchestra Back for ₱1,666 (includes poster), and Balcony for ₱999.
