Sean Kyle Ortega Ramirez of Quezon City, one of the competition’s most heavily favored candidates, ended the night as first runner-up after failing to secure any of the eight international titles awarded during the coronation, leaving pageant fans stunned.

The outcome quickly ignited discussion across social media.

Many fans singled out Sean’s interview performance.

Others questioned how one of the pageant’s perceived frontrunners finished without a title.
