P-pop rookie group WRIVE celebrates a major milestone with the release of their self-titled debut album, sharing stories of dreams, love, and growth.

The name WRIVE—a stylized fusion of “We” and “Arrive”—encapsulates the group’s story. Born from the hopes of the Dream Maker survival show, the members faced nearly two years of rehearsals and sacrifices before their official arrival.

Composed of members Asi, Drei, Ishiro, Matthew, and Russu, the promising P-pop group makes a confident entrance into the scene with the release of their self-titled debut album—an intimate collection of songs that reflect their journey from trainees to artists ready to claim their space in the industry.

The album serves as both an introduction and a declaration. Across its tracks, WRIVE explores themes of love, ambition, vulnerability, and perseverance, mirroring the personal and collective growth the group has experienced behind the scenes.

Each song feels like a chapter, stitched together by youthful honesty and the courage to dream big.

Over the weekend, WRIVE met fans during the first leg of their album launch, where emotions ran high as the group expressed heartfelt gratitude to the people who have supported them from the very beginning.

“This song ay para sa mga ‘delulu’ rin (laughs), kumbaga akala ko kayo na hindi pa pala,” Asi shared lightheartedly, drawing laughter and cheers from the crowd.

Ishiro, meanwhile, spoke sincerely about the sacrifices fans made just to be there. “From the bottom of our hearts, talagang nagpapasalamat po kami sa effort niyo, kasi alam namin na ang karamihan sa inyo nangaling pa sa malayo. Grabe po talaga ang effort ninyo para masuportahan kami and genuinely po kaming nagpapasalamat. And this means a lot to us po,” he said.

The debut album: A 10-track roadmap

The 10-track album features “Hollywood,” “Hakbang,” “Pangkalawakan,” “Panaginip Na Lang,” “Pano Kung,” “Color Cash,” and “Don’t Make Me Hate You,” alongside previously released singles “Ooh La La” and “Señorita.”

The project was created in collaboration with ABS-CBN Music creatives, led by content and operations head Jonathan Manalo, together with Jeremy G, Kiko “KIKX” Salazar, ALAS, Angelo Macanaya, Derick ‘OC-J’ Gernale, and Willie Cuevas.

Serving as the album’s key track, “Hakbang” captures the heart of WRIVE’s message—embracing fear, taking risks, and finding the strength to move forward in pursuit of one’s dreams. It’s a fitting anthem for a group standing at the edge of a new beginning.

With their debut album now out, WRIVE isn’t just introducing themselves, they’re inviting listeners to walk alongside them as they take their next steps, one song at a time.
