Awra Briguela clears beauty peg issue, names real rhinoplasty inspiration

Says Catriona Gray was never her peg, reveals Cindy Kimberly inspired her look and opens up on a transition journey.

Former child star and social media personality Awra Briguela has taken another step in her personal transformation after undergoing rhinoplasty, calling it a milestone in achieving the “Latina” look she has long envisioned for herself.

During her guest appearance on “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Friday, Awra revealed that her beauty inspiration has always been Spanish model Cindy Kimberly, not the celebrities many people compare her to.

“Ang peg ko po talaga ay si Cindy Kimberly po, Spanish model po siya. Hindi ko po in-expect na si Catriona (Gray) po or si Kendra (Kramer) po ’yong magiging kamukha po na sabi po nila,” she shared.

Beyond the cosmetic procedure, Awra also opened up about a more significant chapter in her life, confirming that she officially began her gender transition this year under professional medical guidance.

“This year po talaga nag-start po akong mag-transition po. This year, nag-start po akong mag-consult sa endocrinologist, sa tamang pag-inom po ng hormones ko, and kasama din po ’yong physical transformation ko po, hindi lang po sa pag-transition ko into transgender woman po,” she explained.

Awra first revealed her decision to undergo rhinoplasty in a YouTube vlog released on July 14, where she documented her surgery and shared the reasons behind the procedure. She also expressed gratitude for the unwavering support she received from her family and close friends throughout the process.

“Surgery day ko today and magpapagawa po ako ng nose,” she said in the vlog.

According to Awra, getting her nose done had been a longtime dream and was the final touch she felt she needed to complete her desired look.

“Matagal ko na talaga siyang gusto. And feeling ko talaga, guys, eto na lang ang kulang para maging sobrang Latina na ako.”

Despite her decision to undergo cosmetic surgery, Awra emphasized that it did not stem from insecurity. She shared that she already appreciated her natural features but believed a subtle enhancement would better complement her overall appearance.

“Pero kidding aside, hindi naman sa sobrang insecurities ko. ‘Yong nose ko kasi maganda naman siya, and maganda siya pag naayusan, but feeling ko talaga, guys, kailangan niya ng enhancement,” she explained.
