Asian Eats 2026 uses ASEAN dishes to bridge cultures

Free three day festival spotlights regional dishes, culture, and live demos at Mandaluyong mall.

Visitors can sample dishes and specialty products from participating embassies and their partners, including those from Australia, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Asian Eats 2026 opens tonight, launching a three-day culinary festival spotlighting the ASEAN region’s diverse flavors and traditions. Opening night offers early access to the full lineup of food stalls and cultural showcases, giving visitors a chance to explore before peak weekend crowds.

The event runs from August 7 to 9 at the Grand Atrium of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City, where the space has been transformed into a busy cultural hub with food showcases, live performances, and interactive activities.

Organized by Asia Society Philippines, the festival serves as its flagship culinary diplomacy initiative, using food as a platform to promote cultural exchange and regional understanding. This year’s edition highlights Southeast Asia through a dedicated ASEAN Showcase, in line with the Philippines’ hosting of the ASEAN Summit.

Live cooking demonstrations and cultural performances complete the program, with guest chefs and participating countries presenting traditional techniques, music, and dance. The event is made possible with support from various partners, bringing together embassies, organizations, and communities to highlight how food fosters connection across cultures. Admission is free and open to the public.
