New cancer center in Makati offers free chemotherapy

Makati Chemotherapy Center brings cancer care closer to residents, with chemotherapy sessions covered by PhilHealth.

Makati residents can now access free chemotherapy closer to home with the opening of a new cancer center in the city.

The Makati Chemotherapy Center, a subsidiary of We Hope Medical Group, has opened along Osmeña Highway, offering free chemotherapy sessions covered by PhilHealth, as well as cancer assistance funds and other LGU programs.

The center is staffed by licensed oncology doctors and equipped with modern treatment facilities. Its services include medical consultations, laboratory diagnostics and chemotherapy, giving patients access to several parts of their treatment journey in one facility.

The center operates Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at JM Bldg 1, Gate 4, 1069 Arthur St., along Osmeña Highway.

The center is part of We Hope Medical Group’s broader push to expand access to cancer care through partnerships with local governments, the national government and communities. The group says it is targeting 100 operational centers by the end of the year.

Keeping cancer treatment within the city can spare patients and their families the time, travel costs and added strain that come with regular trips to distant treatment centers.
