The hit OPM band brings back their multi-platinum 2019 debut album on CD and remastered vinyl.
Nearly a decade into their music career, Ben&Ben is bringing their landmark debut album directly into the hands of fans.
The acclaimed 2019 record “Limasawa Street”—created by twin brothers Miguel Benjamin Guico (lead vocals, acoustic guitar) and Paolo Benjamin Guico (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), alongside Poch Barretto (lead guitar), Jam Villanueva (drums), Agnes Reoma (bass), Patricia Lasaten (keyboards), Toni Muñoz (percussion), Andrew de Pano (percussion), and Keifer Cabugao (violin)—is officially getting a physical release on CD and vinyl.
Remastered by Grammy Award-winning sound engineer Jett Galindo, these new pressings offer listeners a tangible way to experience a project that previously lived primarily on streaming platforms.
“Many of us have always been massive fans of physical media, especially vinyl,” shared Paolo. “To finally have our very own press feels surreal. We’re super excited—and even more so for our listeners who have been waiting for us to release our music in a format that they can really collect and have in their hands and homes.”
Beyond the rollout of physical formats, the release gives the nine-piece collective a meaningful opportunity to revisit where their story truly began. Recording the album marked the first time the full lineup immortalized a full body of work together, serving as a distinct bookmark in their evolution.
“Sabi nga nila: you never forget your first,” Miguel quipped. “The energy we had going into creating our very first album was one of the things we would never forget about that era… Revisiting an album like that brings back so many memories of the entire creation process. We still hear us; we still hear the beginnings of our current sound—and we are very grateful to those versions of ourselves who dared to dream.”
That early vision quickly solidified into one of the most significant releases in contemporary OPM. “Limasawa Street” earned multi-platinum certification from the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI) and took home Album of the Year at the 33rd Awit Awards. Birthed alongside modern classics like “Pagtingin” and “Araw-Araw,” the album sparked a massive multi-city tour across the Philippines and Singapore—cementing Ben&Ben’s status as a powerhouse collective.
Pre-orders for the “Limasawa Street” CD and vinyl are available via Backspacer Records.
