Filipino performer Gerardine Sacdalan stars as Veronica Sawyer in international cast.

Get your scrunchies ready!

“Heathers: The Musical” is officially heading to the Philippines, bringing the dark, razor-sharp halls of Westerberg High to The Theatre at Solaire from January 21 to February 7, 2027.

Fresh off her West End and UK stage runs, Filipino performer Gerardine Sacdalan is returning home to anchor the international cast as the cynical-yet-hopeful Veronica Sawyer. She stars opposite Louis Hearsey as the trench-coat-wearing rebel Jason “J.D.” Dean.

The ruthless ruling clique will be played by Liberty Stottor (Heather Chandler), Jessica Ibadin (Heather Duke), and Lou Henry (Heather McNamara).

Presented by GMG Productions, the limited engagement delivers the cult-favorite 1989 film adaptation to the stage. With a killer pop-rock score by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy, the musical tackles high school hierarchy, bullying, and dark social satire through fan-favorite anthems like “Seventeen,” “Candy Store,” and “Dead Girl Walking.”

While at-home Filipino theater fans of the cult-classic musical had to depend on illegal “slime tutorials” or recordings of international stagings of “Heathers,” this 2027 run marks the first time the official, internationally acclaimed West End touring company will hit Philippine shores.

The production is directed by Andy Fickman with choreography by Gary Lloyd. General ticket sales open on September 13, 2026. Eager fans can access a UnionBank presale from September 8 to 11, followed by a waitlist sale on September 12.
