Passengers can now bring up to 10kg of hand-carry luggage on Cebu Pacific flights

Extra 3kg puts the allowance ahead of most local airlines.

Cebu Pacific passengers can now pack a little more for their next flight, with the airline raising its standard hand-carry allowance from 7 kg to 10 kg starting September 15, 2026.

Seven kilos can disappear quickly once clothes, a pair of shoes, toiletries, a laptop, and other travel essentials are squeezed into a single cabin bag, which is why passengers have long had to weigh and repack their belongings before heading to the airport.

The new 10 kg allowance puts Cebu Pacific above the standard cabin allowance of Philippine Airlines and AirAsia Philippines, both of which currently allow up to 7 kg for carry-on baggage.

It is not the highest amount available from a local carrier, however. AirAsia Philippines offers an Xtra Carry-On option that allows passengers to bring up to 14 kg of cabin baggage for an additional fee.

Cebu Pacific’s 10 kg allowance will be free under its standard baggage policy, meaning passengers do not have to pay for checked baggage to carry a few extra kilos in the cabin.

The airline said the new limit will apply to all 5J flights from the aforementioned date, including bookings made before the policy takes effect, provided the baggage remains within the prescribed dimensions.
