On the seventh floor of the University of Santo Tomas’ Buenaventura Garcia Paredes, O.P. Building, you’ll spot what looks like the entrance to an airplane.
Photos shared by UST’s student paper The Varsitarian on Tuesday, Sept. 15 show the school’s newest cabin simulator for students of the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management.
The simulator recreates the inside of a commercial aircraft, with passenger seats, a center aisle, overhead bins, and a rear galley where cabin crew training can take place.
It gives students a space to practice cabin procedures and inflight service before entering the aviation industry.
UST’s College of Tourism and Hospitality Management was established in 2006 and is one of the university’s youngest colleges.
Its tourism and hospitality management programs have both received Center of Excellence recognition from the Commission on Higher Education.
