Dingdong Dantes steps away from ‘Family Feud’ to focus on ‘The Master Cutter’

“Dahil sa walang sawang suporta ninyo sa ‘The Master Cutter’ at dahil kailangan kong pagtuunan ng pansin ang mga susunod na taping ng programa para lalo pa itong mapaganda, pansamantala muna akong magpapahinga sa pagho-host ng ‘Family Feud,’” Dingdong said.

Despite his temporary absence, Dingdong assured viewers that the show will continue to deliver plenty of laughter and entertainment.

He also welcomed Michael V., who will take over the hosting duties beginning Thursday.

“Huwag kayong mag-alala dahil magpapatuloy ang tawanan at kasiyahan dito sa pinakamasayang family game show sa buong mundo. Habang wala muna ako sa programa, makakasama ninyo ang isa sa mga Kapuso artist na hinahangaan, nirerespeto, at minamahal ko, at siyempre, minamahal nating lahat—si Mr. Michael V.,” he said.

Dingdong then addressed Michael V., fondly known as Bitoy, as he officially handed over the studio to his fellow Kapuso star.

“Kuya Bitoy, idol Bitoy, ikaw muna ang bahala sa studio. Survey says, makakasama ninyo si Michael V. gabi-gabi dito sa ‘Family Feud,’” he added.

Before ending his announcement, Dingdong emphasized that his departure from the game show is only temporary.

“Babalik ako sa lalong madaling panahon,” he said.

“Family Feud” airs Mondays to Fridays at 5:40 p.m. on GMA Network.

Meanwhile, “The Master Cutter” airs Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m. on GMA Prime after “24 Oras” and is also available for streaming on Netflix.

In the series, Dingdong portrays Atoy, a former soldier who returns to his family’s tailoring business after retiring from military service. While managing the shop, he secretly works as a tracker-for-hire, helping people locate missing loved ones and valuable possessions.

Since its premiere on May 11, “The Master Cutter” has continued to gain traction across television and digital platforms, receiving strong audience support and sparking online conversations with each new episode.
