Wilbert Ross takes AdLikhain beyond showbiz, targets schools and top creators

Wilbert Ross expands his AdLikhain superhero universe to comic reviewers, toy collectors, and local schools.

Actor and performer Wilbert Ross is widening the reach of his Filipino superhero universe, this time looking beyond the usual showbiz audience and toward comic, geek, toy, and book communities.

After a fan suggested sending AdLikhain PR boxes to Philippine book influencers and content creators, noting the gap between the mainstream entertainment industry and the niche market Ross wants to reach, the actor revealed that the plan is already in motion.

“Actually naka ready na lahat. Inaantay na lang yung comics talaga para mapaship na,” Ross replied, before sharing a list of confirmed creators who agreed to review AdLikhain.

Among those named were Pastykalbo, Legendenis, Blake Salcedo, Hans Galendez, Gotreeck, Nina’s Logpose, Kerdy Senpai, Mayumi no mi, Demsu’s Nerd Life, Jessy So, Obi Reads, Hiro Toy Collection, Tisoy Toy Hunter, Avatar Nico, Hobby Danezi, Absolute Jana, Geekery Peej, Koji Arsua, Rey Velasco, and Celine Books and Fashion.

Ross even opened the door for more suggestions, asking fans to recommend additional “comic, geek, toy or kahit book creator.”

But the bigger ambition may be taking AdLikhain beyond online fandom spaces.

When another fan asked whether he had already approached the Department of Education or education officials about bringing his books and comics into schools—a plan he previously discussed at SuperManila Comic Con—Ross replied, “Trying to find someone dati pa. Sabi naman nung isa icoconnect niya daw ako kay Sen Bam.”

That response immediately caught the attention of Wilbea fans, who connected the mention of Senator Bam Aquino to actress and youth advocate Bea Binene, who recently represented Aquino in accepting the Gawad Kadakilaan at the “13th Philippines I Transform! Leaders’ Convention” in Baguio.

Ross has been building the AdLikhain Hero Universe, also known as AdLikhain Hero Verse, as a Filipino superhero property, with his first comic, Atleta Comic 1, released through 8Letters Bookstore and Publishing. He serves as creator, writer, and author, working with comic artist Kapumax Omega.
