Cookie cafe’s final branch at Uptown BGC closed on September 30.
Cookie cafe and restaurant Scout’s Honor has closed its doors after more than 12 years, ending a run that began with a cookie stall in Makati and grew into a full-fledged restaurant brand. Its remaining branch at Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City shut down on September 30.
Scout’s Honor did not disclose a reason for the closure. In a Facebook post, it said, “It’s bittersweet to close this chapter, but we’re incredibly grateful for the journey we’ve shared with you.”
Scout’s Honor was co-owned by renowned pastry chef Miko Aspiras and operated by the Tasteless group, which brought in global franchises such as The Matcha Tokyo, Hanamaruken Ramen, and Bored and Hungry.
The brand opened its first cookie stall in 2014 at Century City Mall in Makati City before expanding into a restaurant serving Filipino and American comfort food. It eventually opened branches in Vertis North, UP Town Center, and Santolan Town Plaza, all of which closed throughout 2024. Its cookie stall at Robinsons Magnolia followed, closing in 2025.
Aside from cookies and comfort dishes, Scout’s Honor was also known for welcoming pets into its premises and selling dog treats, while regularly hosting pet meetups and events at its branches.
Its closure marks the end of a restaurant concept that grew alongside the Philippines’ mall cafe culture, moving from a specialty cookie stall into a lifestyle-oriented dining brand. For customers who knew it for its cookies, comfort food or pet-friendly spaces, the shutdown closes another familiar chapter in the country’s ever-changing restaurant scene.
