
The iconic Filipino musical returns to RCBC Plaza this November with a refreshed, star-studded cast.
Theater veteran Nonie Buencamino is set to play Jacob, the patriarch, in Trumpets’ upcoming staging of ‘Joseph the Dreamer.’
Running from November 6 to 22 at the Carlos P. Romulo Auditorium in RCBC Plaza, Makati City, the musical returns with a new cast for another staging of the Filipino production.
Sharing the title role of Joseph are Neo Rivera and Jordan Andrews, with Liam Nery and Enzo Isaac playing Young Joseph.
The cast also includes Julia Serad as Rachel, with Joseph’s brothers played by Boo Gabunada (Reuben), Matthew Barbers (Simeon), Carlos Canlas (Levi), Rapah Manalo (Judah), Renz Bernardo (Gad), Antonio Valdez (Dan), Daniel Solis (Napthali), Sam Panlilio (Issachar), Luis Marcelo (Zebulun), Anton Posadas (Asher), and Gabo Tiongson (Benjamin).
In the Egyptian court, Lorenz Martinez plays Pharaoh, while Aldo Vencilao takes on the role of Potiphar. Jannah Baniasia and Dippy Arceo share the role of Mrs. Potiphar, while Iya Villanueva and Naya Ambi play Asenath.
Jim Ferrer takes on the dual roles of the Warden and Magician, alongside ensemble members Kathleen Francisco, Justine Narciso, Coleen Paz, and Gabby Concepcion.
First staged in the 1990s, ‘Joseph the Dreamer’ is one of the Philippines’ longest running original musicals.
Based on the biblical story of Jacob’s favored son, the musical follows Joseph as he faces betrayal and slavery before finding his way toward redemption.
Over the years, the production has featured performers including Audie Gemora, Gary Valenciano, Bituin Escalante, Aicelle Santos, and Sam Concepcion.
Tickets are available through Ticket2Me, with prices ranging from ₱1,680 for Balcony seats to ₱3,850 for Orchestra Center.
