Gasoline gets a slight rollback.
Diesel prices will increase by ₱1.20 per liter on Tuesday, October 27, while gasoline prices will get a slight rollback, based on the latest Department of Energy (DOE) computation.
Gasoline prices will drop by ₱0.30 per liter, while kerosene prices will rise by ₱0.50 per liter. The adjustments will take effect on October 27.
Based on last week’s projected average pump prices, diesel is expected to climb to ₱95.45 per liter after Tuesday’s increase, from ₱94.25. Unleaded gasoline, meanwhile, is projected to average ₱88.30 per liter, down from ₱88.60. Actual prices may vary across fuel stations.
The latest adjustment means diesel motorists will face another increase after last week’s hike, while gasoline users will get a modest reduction following the previous week’s substantial rollback.
As of press time, oil companies have yet to release their respective advisories for the week’s price changes. Actual adjustments could vary by company and fuel product, although oil firms have generally stayed close to DOE-computed figures in previous price adjustments.
The mixed adjustments come a week after gasoline prices dropped by ₱4.30 per liter, diesel prices increased by ₱2.60 per liter, and kerosene prices rolled back by ₱1.00 per liter on October 20.
