The restaurant will keep its Katipunan and Shangri-La Plaza branches open.

Sweet Inspirations, the homegrown restaurant and bakeshop known for its Mongolian barbecue buffet and signature cakes, will permanently close its Hemady Square branch along E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue in Quezon City on October 31.

The restaurant announced the closure on social media, thanking customers who have patronized the branch over the years. It did not disclose the reason for the shutdown.

“To everyone who made Sweet Inspirations part of your day: thank you for the little moments and familiar faces that made this branch special,” the company said.

The restaurant also encouraged customers to visit before its final day of operations.

“Come by for your favorites before then. We’d love to see you one more time.”

A Metro Manila favorite since 1990

Established in 1990, Sweet Inspirations has built a loyal following among generations of Filipino diners, particularly families, students, and professionals.

The restaurant is best known for its customizable all-you-can-eat Mongolian barbecue buffet, where customers assemble their own bowls using meats, vegetables, noodles, and sauces before having them cooked.

Its cakes and pastries, including Chocolate Decadent Cake, Caramel Cake, and Mango Sylvannas, have also become longtime customer favorites.

The brand’s original Katipunan branch in Loyola Heights, Quezon City, has become a familiar dining destination for students from nearby universities, including Ateneo de Manila University and Miriam College.

Other branches remain open

The closure affects only the Hemady Square location, with Sweet Inspirations continuing to operate its Katipunan and Shangri-La Plaza branches.

The company has not announced plans to relocate the Hemady Square branch.

For longtime patrons, October 31 will mark the last opportunity to visit the neighborhood restaurant before it closes its doors.
