Viral throwback has fans laughing over their unexpected ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’ duet.
Angeline Quinto and Anne Curtis brought a nostalgic internet moment to life as they recreated the famous “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” choir scene featuring Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”
In the original 2010 film, students sing the “Turn around…” cues together in a monotone choir before Greg Heffley suddenly breaks into the solo, “Every now and then I fall apart…”
While Zachary Gordon portrayed Greg on screen, his solo vocals were dubbed by then-young singer and actor LJ Benet.
Quinto and Curtis’ own take quickly drew reactions online, with fans joking about the unexpected vocal pairing amid the rainy weather.
“Tama na po Dyosa, lubog na po kami dito,” one netizen quipped, while another praised the performance,” Yung tropa mong pati second voice kanya.”
A third commenter noticed Curtis’ vocal improvement, writing, “Infairness, laki na rin talaga ng inimprove ni Anne.”
