The theater actor gifts a good Samaritan after his wallet is returned untouched: “Kindness still exists.”
Theater actor Anthony Rosaldo is counting his blessings after a stressful mishap turned into a heartwarming reminder of human decency.
Taking to social media, Anthony shared that he lost his wallet in a parking area after the Sparkle Run on May 30. The wallet held sentimental value, as he had just bought it during a recent trip to Japan, along with important items like his ATM cards, credit cards, and IDs.
Admitting it’s easy to lose trust in people these days, Anthony said he initially braced himself for the worst. But his faith in humanity was quickly restored when a stranger messaged him the next night. The good Samaritan recognized him from TV, searched for his Facebook account, and arranged to return the wallet. By June 1, Anthony had it back, completely untouched.
“Honestly, hindi lang relief yung naramdaman ko. It felt like God was reminding me that even in a world full of negativity, greed, and bad news, marami pa ring mabubuting tao,” he wrote.
To show his gratitude, Anthony gave a gift to the honest finder, Jackielyn Perez Nayangga, and her family. He later learned they had just welcomed a newborn baby.
“Yung simpleng pagkawala ng wallet ko became an opportunity for me to also help and bless someone else,” he shared, encouraging others to choose honesty and help whenever they can.
“Sana huwag tayong mapagod maging mabuti kahit minsan parang unfair ang mundo… Because kindness is contagious. And the world needs more of it.”
