From accused to accuser, Joy Barcoma rebuts ‘bully’ claims with serious allegations of underage grooming.

Miss Earth Philippines titleholder Joy Barcoma has spoken out on social media, pushing back against claims labeling her a “bully” and instead alleging that the person behind the accusation engaged in inappropriate behavior when she was a minor.

In a series of posts on X, Barcoma addressed the circulating narrative—reportedly linked to a blind item aired by Yes FM about a personality with the initial “J” who was allegedly a bully during her student years.

“Imagine calling me a bully… when I read our convo, I was kind to you, but you were the one who wasn’t kind to me,” she wrote, before revealing more serious claims.

Barcoma alleged that the individual in question—described as a 21-year-old man—had sent her messages of a sexual nature on Messenger when she was only 15 years old. She characterized the behavior as inappropriate, countering the narrative being circulated about her.

The beauty queen also clarified that she had never met the person in real life, describing their connection as limited to being “Messenger friends.” She further claimed that the individual is an admin of an online group where the accusations against her originated, suggesting a possible link between him and the person who publicly labeled her a bully.

As of writing, the accused individual has not issued any public statement addressing Barcoma’s allegations.

The issue has since sparked conversations online, with netizens weighing in on accountability, online behavior, and the resurfacing of past interactions in the age of social media.
