Cezar Consing takes over leadership role.
BREAKING: Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala has stepped down as chairman of Globe Telecom after 30 years, with Cezar Consing set to replace him.
Consing was elected as the new chairman of the Board of Directors on April 21, during the company’s organizational meeting after its annual stockholders’ meeting. Consing is currently President and CEO of Ayala Corporation.
Zobel de Ayala has served as Chairman of Globe Telecom since December 1996 and as a Director since March 1989. He oversaw the digital transformation of the telco, expanding its reach through various acquisitions and the launch of the mobile payments platform GCash.
The end of a 30-year era as Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala passes the Globe Telecom chairmanship to Ayala Corp chief Cezar Consing.
