Blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Sampana shares a bittersweet reaction as Donny and Belle move on from the loveteam, leaving fans—and her—wanting more.

Even blockbuster director Cathy Garcia-Sampana is feeling the separation anxiety.

After directing Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano in “Tayo sa Wakas,” the acclaimed filmmaker admitted she still wants more projects with the phenomenal DonBelle, she shared during a special screening last May 23.

Fans were left in utter shock after the duo recently revealed on Bianca Gonzalez’s “Paano Ba ‘To” podcast that they will be pursuing independent career paths. After roughly a decade of dominating the screen together, “Tayo sa Wakas” will officially serve as their final project as a loveteam.

Direk Cathy echoed the sentiments of heartbroken fans who are still longing for more. According to the director, the pair is ready to step out of their “tweetums” era. “Tayo sa Wakas” promises to challenge expectations, featuring DonBelle in a more mature, deeply realistic dynamic rarely seen in mainstream romance films.

While she fully respects their decision to grow individually, Direk Cathy couldn’t help but playfully plead: “Pwedeng isa pa? Pahirit [ng] isa pa?”

“Tayo sa Wakas,” starring Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano, Epy Quizon, Joross Gamboa, River Joseph, Emilio Daez, Allan Paule, Yayo Aguila, Matthew Mendoza, Jude Hinumdum, and Miah Canton, directed by Cathy Garcia-Sampana, written by Vanessa R. Valdez, in production with Star Cinema and ABS-CBN Studios, will be in cinemas nationwide on May 27, 2026.
