Kean and Klarisse fans take note: wifey Ortaleza responds to costar “shipping” rumors.
Actress Chynna Ortaleza reflected on her decade-long relationship with husband and “Bar Boys: After School” star Kean Cipriano at the film’s recent premiere, citing luck and mutual trust as the foundation of their marriage.
“Very lucky lang din ako to have a husband na hindi ako binibigyan ng reason para magselos,” Chynna told reporters, responding to fans who ship her husband with his co-star and “Pinoy Big Brother” alum Klarisse De Guzman as “Klean” or “KeKlang.”

Ortaleza and Cipriano renewed their vows on November 10, 2026, for their ten-year anniversary, after tying the knot in a civil ceremony in 2015 and later holding a church wedding two years later.
With their kids growing up, Ortaleza revealed that her husband continues to put extra effort into their personal relationship—possibly even planning another honeymoon.
“Actually, nagre-request nga siya na parang, since lumalaki na ‘yong mga babies namin, parang kailangan namin… hindi naman another ‘baby’ pero just to invest in, like, ‘together time.’ Kasi nga sobrang busy namin.”
According to Ortaleza, concerts with singer Ice Seguerra and “Bar Boys” shoots coincided with Cipriano’s loss after his mother passed away in April 2025, following a three-month illness.
“Tinatanong ko siya n’on kung kaya. Even sila Ice parang sinasabi, ‘Wag na,’ pero hindi niya kasi gusto gawing reason ’yon. Parang sinasabi niya, ‘My mommy wouldn’t want me not to show up.’”

Ortaleza recounted Cipriano coming home to share the challenges, particularly with funeral scenes and sequences with MMFF Best Supporting Actress and veteran Odette Khan, which felt painfully close to his fresh loss.
While she advised him to pause, she respected his process, noting that everyone grieves differently.
She confirms Cipriano is undergoing therapy to process the trauma, a step she also took after realizing traditional medicine wasn’t enough to heal the physical effects of her own grief.
“Sabi ko nga, I need to be there to support and not dictate ‘yung experience ko sa kanya. Kasi iba-iba tayo mag-process.”
During one of the hardest periods of her husband’s life, Ortaleza expressed pride in Cipriano’s performance in the film: “I’m very proud of him kasi parang ang tagal din niyan na nagkaroon ng movie na ganito na alam kong he put a lot of his soul into it.”
