The Kapuso actor shows off his ripped physique with wife Jennylyn Mercado’s full support for fans.
Actor Dennis Trillo once again proved that age is just a number as he poked fun at his supposed age while showing off his toned physique in a rare thirst trap Reel.
“‘Di ko inexpect na makakabalik pa ako sa ganitong kondisyon ng katawan. Si Jen ‘yong nagpush talaga sakin,” the actor said in a message sent to radar Entertainment, crediting his wife, actress Jennylyn Mercado, for encouraging him to get back in shape.
In the Reel, Dennis confidently flaunted his physique while joking about his age through the caption, “Not Bad for a 53 years old.”
A quick Google search of Dennis’ age, however, shows that the actor was born in 1981, which would make him 45 years old in 2026—not 53.
The post quickly caught the attention of netizens, many of whom were left impressed by how youthful and fit the actor continues to look.
“53 years old pero mukhang 30 lang,” one netizen commented.
Another wrote, “Grabe iyung 53 parang nasa 20’s lang.”
The actor shared his reaction to the attention his post received, saying he was happy that his fitness journey had inspired others.
“Sa mga nainspire, masaya ako na naging halimbawa o fitspiration ako sa inyo. Sa mga natuwa naman, ayun.. enjoy. Thank you kay Jen at pinayagan ako magpost ng ganun,” he wrote.
However, according to his management team, Dennis’ age was actually part of the joke.
Jan Enriquez clarified that the actor never expected people to take the “53” claim seriously.
“‘Yon ang punchline actually! ‘Di naman n’ya inexpect na maniwala ang tao na 53 na sya although to be fair naman that’s a very good physique for someone in his 40s na. Fitspiration pa din,” Enriquez said.
The actor’s latest thirst trap also fueled speculation among fans that his impressive physical transformation could be connected to his upcoming action series, “Hari ng Tondo,” where he is set to take on a new role.
Beyond his fitness journey, Dennis continues to enjoy married life with Jennylyn. The couple tied the knot in a civil wedding ceremony on November 15, 2021, after rekindling their relationship in 2016 following their first romance in 2010.
They welcomed their daughter, Dylan Jayde, on April 25, 2022. The couple also helps raise their respective sons from previous relationships.
