Actor teases industry-wide plan led by Coco Martin, keeps details under wraps ahead of official announcement.

Actor and TV host Dingdong Dantes has shared a glimpse of what fans can expect following his recent meeting with fellow primetime star Coco Martin, hinting at a major initiative the latter is preparing for the entertainment industry.

The two actors, who lead hit primetime series on different television networks, recently drew attention after being seen together during a meeting of the League of Filipino Actors (AKTOR). A photo from the gathering sparked curiosity online, with many wondering what collaboration the pair had been discussing.

While Dingdong admitted he already knows the details of the project, he said he would rather let Coco make the official announcement.

“Gusto ko man mag-share ng details pero ayaw ko muna i-spoil ang details dahil magkakaroon siya ng separate announcement,” Dingdong said during an interview with entertainment reporters at his recent endorsement event for Marstek Power Station on Wednesday.

“Excited na ako maibahagi ’yon very soon, pero for now, pinag-uusapan na namin ang detalye at nasa planning stage, at gusto ko siya ang mag-announce,” he added.

Asked if he would also be part of the upcoming initiative, the actor remained careful with his answer but expressed admiration for Coco’s leadership and commitment.

“Baka… siguro… Pero inaayos namin. Ang idea na ’to ay nanggaling sa kanya, at bilib na bilib talaga ako sa kanyang dedication at sa kanyang utak sa mga ganitong bagay na para talaga sa industriya. Ramdam na ramdam mo talaga ang kanyang pagmamahal at dedikasyon,” he shared.

Aside from the much-anticipated AKTOR project, Dingdong was also asked about the possibility of a television crossover between his GMA primetime series “The Master Cutter” and Coco’s ABS-CBN hit “Sigabo.”

Although he stopped short of confirming any plans, Dingdong welcomed the idea and said it would be an exciting collaboration if it ever happens.

“Why not? Hindi ko masasagot pa ’yon sa ngayon, pero napakagandang idea niyan,” he said.

For now, fans will have to wait for Coco’s official announcement as the actors continue working behind the scenes on what Dingdong described as a promising initiative aimed at benefiting the Philippine entertainment industry.
