Filipino Avatar fans and audiences are in for a treat.

Dolly de Leon has officially appeared in Season 2 of Netflix’s live-action “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” marking her debut in the fantasy series after her casting was first announced last year.

The new season premiered on June 25, with de Leon playing Lo and Li, the elderly firebending mentors of Fire Nation known for their synchronized teaching style.

Her appearance quickly caught viewers off guard, with some saying they had forgotten she was part of the cast until the episode aired.

“Nakalimutan ko na in-announce na siya si Lo & Li, and gladly so ‘cause the scream I scrumpt when I saw her!” one X user wrote.

De Leon said the role allowed her to explore something entirely new in her acting career.

“Among all the things that I’ve done in the past four years, this is the one I’m most excited about because I’m playing twins and I’ve never played characters like Lo and Li in my entire life,” she said in an interview with MEGA Asia.

The actress first broke into the international scene with her acclaimed performance in the 2022 film “Triangle of Sadness,” which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes.

She is also set to appear in the Apple TV+ series “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” as Detective Sofia Gonzalez, and will voice Lola Fatima in DreamWorks’ “Forgotten Island,” alongside Liza Soberano, Lea Salonga, Manny Jacinto, and H.E.R.

De Leon has previously noted the growing presence of Filipino talent in global productions, both in front of and behind the camera.

“Ang daming Pinoy sa set… Tapos ‘yung double ko, Pinay rin,” she told Frontline Pilipinas.
