‘YSpeak 2.0:’ Why it matters.
Elijah Canlas isn’t just hosting. He’s stepping into something bigger.
For the “YSpeak 2.0”host, bringing the long-running youth debate show back (last seen in 2010) isn’t about nostalgia—it’s about now. With the 2028 elections already on the horizon, Elijah believes the youth need a space to question, challenge, and think critically.
“Honestly, pressured and inspired at the same time,” he admits to radar Entertainment.
What started as a simple mission—to get young people engaged and voting—has grown into something with the potential to spark a movement. And for Elijah, that’s where the magic lies, in listening, learning, and hopefully lighting that first spark.
Because if “YSpeak” gets people talking—and thinking—again, then that’s already a win.
The show premieres on May 9, 10 p.m., on all ABS-CBN platforms.
