YSpeak 2.0 ushers youth voices.
Happening now: “YSpeak 2.0” ushers in a new wave of youth voices with its refreshed lineup of hosts: Aya Fernandez, River Joseph, Robbie Jaworski, and Elijah Canlas.
During the media conference, the program reaffirmed its mission to engage the youth in real-world issues and meaningful discussions.
“Naniniwala ako that the best way to make a change is to engage, lalong-lalo na sa nangyayari ngayon. Excited ako na meron tayong ‘YSpeak’ finally, and I am so honored to be one of your hosts,” says Aya.
“I believe the future of the Philippines and what this country could possibly become is in the hands of the youth,” says River.
Robbie called it an honor to be part of the show, stressing the importance of hope, learning, and compassion: “Even if sometimes this world, this country might seem a little bit hopeless, don’t forget that the hope starts with all of us. And the pursuit of knowledge will always give us the right perspective in life. So, huwag nating kalimutan magbigay ng pagmamahal sa kapwa taong Pilipino para makaangat po tayong lahat.”
Elijah introduced himself as an “iskolar at artista ng bayan,” adding: “Naniniwala naman ako that the personal is political.”
Fellow Y Speaker KD Estrada was not present at the event.
Originally a flagship program of Studio 23, YSpeak was previously hosted by Bianca Gonzalez, Ryan Agoncillo, and Karen Davila. The reboot, “YSpeak 2.0,” premieres on May 9, 10 PM.
