The actor says peace of mind, discipline, and cutting toxic habits fueled transformation.

Former matinee idol Frederick “Eric” Fructuoso recently took to Facebook to showcase his major weight loss transformation, detailing the strict lifestyle changes he made to achieve his new physique.

In an uploaded post, Fructuoso shared a striking before-and-after photo collage highlighting his noticeably leaner figure. He credited his success to “discipline, sacrifice, effort, focus, and determination,” admitting he had to turn down invitations to birthday parties, drinking sessions, and anything that did not align with his fitness goals.

His fitness regimen was heavily defined by a complete lifestyle overhaul, shifting away from high-impact sports like basketball and motocross—which caused him lower back and knee injuries—to low-impact sports like pickleball.

On social media, Fructuoso also openly credited his partnership with a wellness company and the use of targeted peptide therapy for helping him break past weight loss plateaus and drop major sizes.

Aside from wellness support, he emphasized the need to prioritize his peace of mind by cutting out stressful work, late-night partying, and toxic people. “You have to want it. You have to make a choice,” he wrote, concluding his post with the reminder: “Binigay ng Dios ang awa, na sa atin nalang ang gawa.”

An OG heartthrob of the 90s, Fructuoso is best known as a member of the iconic teen boy group “Gwapings,” alongside Mark Anthony Fernandez, Jomari Yllana, and Jao Mapa. His rise to fame skyrocketed when he became a part of TV sitcom “Palibhasa Lalake.” He now runs multiple business ventures in Cavite, such as Gwapings Moto and Gwapigs Porkchop, banking on his gwapings renown.
